I've been trying to get this working for around 5 weeks (1 hour per week max) and the deadline to get the network up and running is coming very close now. Moved the cable to port Gi1/0/2 and applied the config to no avail, moved back to Gi1/0/1 Connected a laptop to port Gi1/0/1 and got green LED, so assume the port is functioning OK. Copied config from fully working site B, updated VLANs and applied config to switch in site A to no avail.

Switchport config is correct and set to trunk, although I don't think this will affect the down/down issue. CN router also shows the interface going up/down when disconnected and reconnected When one side is unplugged, both LEDs go green. Cable has been traced back and is definitely connected to correct port on CN router. Changed cable from straight to cross over and back Speed and duplex are auto, but working with the CN team we tried all combinations of auto and manual speed + duplex settings, with shut no shut inbetween each change There are no port security settings in the running config Site B also has the exact same setup and LAN equipment, just different VLANs to the CN PE router.īoth sites have 2 switches connected to the CN but for the purposes of troubleshooting I am focusing on one as a 'single' switch (no stacking).Īll switches are Cisco 9300s and routers are Cisco - not sure the model but are high end.Īs this switch is in a different site, getting someone to connect locally and provide access is troublesome and I can get around 1 hour per week if that. After lots of troubleshooting, I'm unable to get the port Gi1/0/1 up, it's always in the state down/down (notconnect). Run command to verify.I have a switch in site A that is connected to the core network PE router (managed by a different team) by a Cat6 cable.Push to log collector configurations under GUI: Commit > Push devices > Edit Selections > Collector Groups.

Add Firewalls and Log Collector under GUI: Panorama > Collect Group > Device Log Forwarding.Add log collector device under GUI: Panorama > Collect Group > General.Add disk under GUI: Panorama > Managed Collectors> collector > Disk.Ethernet 1/1 will not come up (even though is enabled and connected to the switch) unless the log collector is configured and configurations are pushed to log Collector Groups.Cable is directly connected to switch or any other device.Panorama Ethernet 1/1 interface is enabled for Device Management and Device Log Collection.Panorama Ethernet 1/1 interface status shows down when running the " show interface all" or " show interface ethernet 1/1" command.
